These two demos must have scared some people when they were releases and tape traded all across the world. Blatantly evil and inherently dark, a launching pad for the growth of death metal into a new stratosphere. As time has gone on, people have accepted Death as one of the godfathers of death metal, and the gods of what is now beloved by many. Yes the production is rough. Yes the instruments sound raw, and yes most of the lyrics are immature... but without these two demos, death metal would never have existed in quite the same way. Added to the ends of both sides are some bonus rehearsal tracks that were not on the original demos. Cool document from an important time in metal history.
